PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership have finalised arrangements for a massive rally to be held in Peshawar on September 27, declaring it a milestone in the struggle for the release of party founder Imran Khan and what they term “real freedom.”
The rally, called by Imran Khan, is scheduled to take place near the Ring Road Motorway Chowk at 4 pm, with special arrangements planned for greetings and collective prayers.
The preparations were finalised during an important meeting chaired by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Monday, attended by PTI District Committee officials. During the session, discussions focused on logistics, security, and mobilisation, while the Chief Minister’s spokesperson, Faraz Mughal, was appointed as the focal person for the rally.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur said the September 27 gathering would prove historic, not just for PTI but for Pakistan’s democratic future. He said the rally was a continuation of Imran Khan’s struggle for justice and true independence, adding that the release of the PTI founder was the ultimate goal of the movement. “Under the leadership of Imran Khan, the nation is fighting for its rights. If the people remain united, no force can stop the path of freedom,” he asserted.
Gandapur stressed that the Peshawar rally would strengthen Khan’s movement and mark a defining chapter in PTI’s political journey. “This is not only a political campaign but a struggle for the future of our people and the establishment of justice,” he said, urging workers and supporters to unite with renewed resolve.
Declaring the event a landmark in PTI’s resistance politics, Gandapur said the rally would send a powerful message that the demand for Imran Khan’s release and the pursuit of “real freedom” remain at the heart of the party’s mission.
