PESHAWAR: A divisional bench of Peshawar High Court comprising of Justice Lal Jan Khan Khattak and Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim has directed educational institutions at University of Peshawar (UOP) to allow employee’s children to classes, on Wednesday.
The writ petition was Zafar Ali, Izhar Ahmad, Inyat-u-Rehman, Shah Faisal, Israr Khan, Zain Ullah and Fazal Wahid while Vice Chancellor along with Registrar& Director Admission UOP, Principal University Model School and all deans of the faculties.
It is worthy to mention that on Tuesday University Model School has withdraw employee’s children from classrooms and closed to abandon hall in the premises of school.
Moreover, both VCs of UOP and Islamia College University has singed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that employee’s children shall be only entertained in Self Finance Scheme without consent with faculty members.
However, Joint Action Committee has rejected MOU signed by both VCs and also challenged before PHC while court has granted status quo while petitioners appeared in person due to lawyer’s strike.
