F.P. Report
PESHAWAR: Provincial Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, Sardar Faisal Amin Gandapur, has expressed deep concern and sorrow over the destructions caused by heavy monsoon rains and floods in various areas of the country especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. He has also expressed heartiest solidarity and sympathy with the affected families.
In a statement, he said that the Chief Minister KP and the entire provincial cabinet are aware and concerned about the flood situation and not only the relief operations within the province are being closely monitored, but Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has taken a step forward and announced generous assistance to the flood victims of Balochistan as well. He made it clear that in this natural calamity and difficult time, his KP government would not leave calamity-hit brothers and sisters alone and would stand by their side.
However, Faisal Amin Gandapur has also expressed regret that the imported government of over thirteen to fourteen political parties in the federation is more concerned about its personal and political gains rather than the poor people surrounded by floods. So instead of helping the suffering people at the government level, contrary to the wishes of the people, all the government machinery has been involved in conspiracies against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan and delaying the general elections, he added. He regretted that nothing being done for flood victims in KP and all other provinces except one photo session of helicopter surveillance of PM in Baluchistan.
The KP Minister said that all these parties have always come to power through backdoors, so these fascist rulers are eager to fill their coffers, transfering looted wealth to foreign accounts and the prosperity of their Kith and kins, instead of providing any kind of relief the masses, and even today they are all working together for looting Pakistan. He reminded that there is need for all our national institutions to realize its duties well and to act immediately on these political bandits imposed on the nation with the blessing of America, because the sooner transparent elections are held in the country, the less the damage to the state and economy will be and the country will be thus saved from bankruptcy.
Faisal Amin Gandapur also assured the people that the provincial government will not leave them alone in the face of this sudden natural disaste and will continue to help them in every way. He said that the joint teams of PDMA, Rescue 1122, Departments of local government, relief, revenue and health are busy round the clock in all the flood affected areas and apart from shifting people from the flooded areas to safe places, their food and shelter facilities are also arranged properly. Similarly relief agencies are working diligently for financial aid and prevention of epidemics among the people in the affected areas, he concluded.
