KABUL (BNA): In a recent meeting with scholars from various provinces, Sheikh Noor Mohammad Saqib, the Acting Minister of Hajj and Religious Affairs, underscored the critical need to formalize mosques and unofficial places of worship.
The meeting brought together esteemed representatives from both Shia and Sunni communities, including professors from the Jihad School in Kapisa and notable scholars from the Provincial Council and Bamyan province.

He emphasized their importance in promoting unity and cohesion among community members. “Scholars guide and educate people based on religious principles, fostering a deeper understanding of faith,” he stated.
The Acting Minister also revealed that the Ministry is actively engaged in repairing and constructing mosques, husainiyas, and khanqahs.
He reiterated the commitment to formalizing places of worship that remain unofficial, stressing the need for designated positions for speakers, imams, muezzins, and caretakers. This initiative aims to bolster religious and moral values across the community.
