D I KHAN: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, during his visit to native District Dera Ismail Khan on Saturday, performed ground breaking of a number of projects under Rural Accessibility Program worth billions of rupees to be completed with the assistance of World Bank.
These projects include rehabilitation and improvement of a number of local access roads and bridges affected during floods. Varoius access roads with a total length of 120 kilomteres in addition to six number of bridges would be rehabilitated with a total cost of Rs. 9.00 billion. These roads include 15 KM Draban- Chodwan Road, 18 KM Attal Sharif Road, 06 KM Kulachi- Rori Road, 12 KM Naivala-Garha Rasheed Road, 09KM Kokar-Sharki Road and others whereas the bridges include Rangpur Adda Bridge, Loni Nallah Bridge, Indus Distributory Bridge etc.
Addressing the groundbreaking ceremony as chief guest, the Chief Minister said that his government was utilizing all the available resources to facilitate the general public with all the basic needs of life.
He termed law and order as the top priority of his government and said that huge resources were being spent to strengthen police to the desired level. He remarked that provision of quality healthcare facilities was one the top priorities of the provincial government and added that the district level hospitals were being strengthened and equipped with all the required medical facilities with the aim to facilitate the masses at local level whereas the scope of Sihat Card Scheme is being expanded to cover maximum free treatment facilities in the scheme.
Sardar Ali Amin Khan Gandapur stated that as Chief Minister, the entire province was his constituency and as such, developmental projects would be launched in all the districts of the province without any discrimination. He made it clear that there will be no compromise on the quality of work in developmental schemes, and anyone involved in any kind of malpractice in developmental projects would be dealt with iron hands.
He urged upon the public to have a close watch on the quality of work of developmental projects in their respectiveareas, and indicates any kind of substandard work to the government so that necessary action could be initiated against those involved, and public money could be utilized effectively to larger public interest.
“The incumbent provicial government is taking result oriented steps under a well devised strategy to enhance its own revenue, and to this end, special attention is given to the potential sectors including Mines and Minerals, Hydel power generation, Toursim, Agriculture and Livestock”.
Ali Amin Gandapur stated adding that revenue thus generated would be spent on the development of the province and welfare of its people. The Chief Minister maintained that Awani Agenda of the incumbent provicial government is being implemented with a fast pace, and people of the province would soon feel a visible change in their lives as the agenda directly related to the common man. He further said that reforms were being introduced in various sectors of public service delivery to improve public service delivery up to the expectations and needs of the public.
