KABUL (BNA): The Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanekzai, met with Ilham Mammadov, Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Afghanistan, in his office.
During the meeting, DFM Stanekzai expressed condolences over the tragic plane crash in Azerbaijan and emphasized the need to enhance political, economic, and social bilateral relations between Afghanistan and Azerbaijan.
Meanwhile, Ambassador Mammadov acknowledged Afghanistan’s expression of sympathy over the incident as a testament to the brotherly ties between the two nations. He expressed gratitude while affirming Azerbaijan’s eagerness to expand political engagement with Afghanistan.
He also reiterated his country’s readiness to cooperate in strengthening Afghanistan’s economy and promoting mutual well-being, calling the reinforcement of bilateral relations significant for both nations.
