Explosion on railway track derails Jafar Express in Mastung

MASTUNG : Quetta police reported that an explosion on the railway track in Mastung’s Spezand area caused four bogies of the Jafar Express to derail on Monday.

The train was en route from Peshawar to Quetta.

According to police, the blast occurred when the Jafar Express was passing through Spezand. The powerful explosion damaged a portion of the railway track, leading to the derailment.

Three passengers sustained injuries in the incident. Authorities confirmed that they were shifted to Quetta for medical treatment. No fatalities have been reported so far.

Train’s route and impact

The Jafar Express, a major passenger train connecting Peshawar and Quetta, was carrying passengers on its regular route when the attack took place. Railway police said the explosion disrupted travel but swift rescue efforts minimized further damage.
