
KABUL (Pajhwok): Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund and Iranian Minister of Industry have discussed trade, transit and investment opportunities.
Mullah Baradar met with Seyyed Mohammad Atabak, Iran’s Minister of Industry, Trade and Mines and his accompanying delegation here, Barader’s office said in a statement on X.
The two sides discussed trade, transit, investment, the Chabahar port, as well as enhancing the effectiveness and activities of the joint economic committee between the two countries.
The high-ranking Iranian economic and trade delegation, led by Seyyed Mohammad Atabak, arrived in Kabul on Sunday morning.
According to a statement from Afghanistan’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the purpose of this delegation’s visit to Afghanistan is to identify obstacles and challenges in order to expand bilateral trade and facilitate cooperation in the areas of transit and joint investments.
