
KABUL (Agencies): Officials of the Ministry of Finance (MoF), the National Statistics and Information Authority (NISA) and Day Afghanistan Bank (DAB) signed a cooperation agreement on Tuesday.
In the press conference held on this occasion at the Government Information and Media Center; Acting Minister of Finance Mullah Hedayatullah Badri, the head of National Statistics and Information Authority Dr. Faqir Mohammad Zayar, and the head of Da Afghanistan Bank Abdul Qahir Idris attended.
At the initiative of the meeting, Acting Finance Minister Mullah Hedayatullah Badri said that the national revenue can be collected transparently when corruption is fought and the revenue is collected through the system.
The Ministry of Finance has turned on the electronic system to fight corruption and create transparency in revenue collection, and the Ministry’s efforts to strengthen it continue, Badri added.
Later, the head of the National Statistics and Information Authority, Dr. Faqir Mohammad Zayar, talked about the role and value of the Bank of Afghanistan in collecting revenue and asked for more cooperation between the Bank of Afghanistan and the NSIA.
Meanwhile, Asadullah Mushfiq, the head of the payment system of Da Afghanistan Bank shared Information about the procedure the bank provides services to government agencies and citizens, saying that Da Afghanistan Bank is cooperating with several ministries and independent agencies.
A cooperation agreement has been signed between three departments and the MoF plans to sign similar agreements with several other ministries and independent agencies.
The purpose of signing cooperation agreements between government agencies has been called fighting corruption, creating transparency in the revenue collection process, and preventing irregularities and confusion in this process.
