PESHAWAR: A divisional bench of Peshawar High Court (PHC) comprising of Justoce Syed Arshad Ali and Justice Dr. Khurshid Iqbal directed Secretary Home Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and districts’ administration to finalize arrangements for processions during Muharram-ul-Harm, on Friday.
Secretary Imamia Jirga Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa Muzaffar Ali filed writ petition seeking schedule for processions for Muharram.
The counsel Shabbir Hussain Gigyani Advocate appeared before PHC and informed that previously cases were registered against organizers for holding unscheduled processions.
The divisional bench of PHC comprising of Justice Arshad Ali and Justice Dr. Khurshid Iqbal directed Secretary’s Home along with districts administration to finalize schedule with consent of Shia elders for processions while directed to submit detail report before court and hearing 2nd August.
