PESHAWAR: Peshawar Press Club on Thursday elected its officer bearers in which Muhammad Riaz was reelected as President while Rizwan Sheikh was elected as Vice President.
Riaz scored a huge victory over his opponent Fida Adeel by getting 317 votes against 156 votes of Adeel. Meanwhile, Rizwan Sheikh in the race for the Vice President defeated Ehtisham Basheer by securing 257 votes. Ehtisham could manage to get 210 votes.
Similarly, Shah Fahad was voted as General Secretary of PPC with 275 votes against Aneela Shaheen who bagged 196 votes. The journalists community also elected Gul Rehman Haqqani as Joint Secretary. He obtained 242 votes against the 227 votes of Bilal Ahmad. Yasir Hussain was elected Finance Secretary with 258 while Aziz Buneri stood runner up with 213 votes.
