
PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): Nine people were killed, including two women, and seven others were injured, including four children, in a traffic accident in northern Baghlan province on Wednesday, police said.
In a statement, the provincial police headquarters said the accident occurred this morning in an area between Jalga and Khost districts.
It said that a flying coach-type vehicle traveling from Farang district to Pul-i-Khumri city overturned due to the driver’s carelessness and technical problems in northern part of the Kotal-e-Polfi area located between Jalga and Khost districts.
Nine people, including two women and seven men, lost their lives and seven others including four children and three men were wounded in the accident, the police statement added.
Security forces evacuated the injured to Nahrain District Hospital.
